Maria Fernanda Plata (Bogota 1978) holds a BFA from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia, and a MA in Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Art and Design, London.

Her practice is a reflection on the relationship between people and their habitat, mainly the urban environment. Ideas such as fragility, destruction, and terminality are continuously tackled in her projects.

In 2014 she did an artist residency at Sán Art, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as beneficiary of the Colombian Ministry of Culture Icentives Program.
